Since its inception, Penfolds Koonunga Hill has always aimed to deliver quality, value and consistency. The original 1976 Koonunga Hill Claret is a legendary wine that is still drinking well today. Koonunga Hill Shiraz joined the range in 2002, a contemporary reflection of Penfolds multi-regional sourcing philosophy. Shiraz from the warmer districts of South Australia is carefully blended, with the Barossa Valley always well represented. Ripe plum, blueberry & sweet spice - undeniably South Australian Shiraz. A timeless Penfolds classic, St Henri has stood apart from the crowd since its first release in the 1950s. Rather than relying on new oak, it is matured in seasoned vats, allowing the purity of the Shiraz and the character of each vintage to take centre stage. Its steadfast style has made it an enduring counterpoint to Grange and a favourite among collectors. The 2022 vintage is unmistakably St Henri, offering a rich, fruit-forward palate with a quiet sense of power. Aromas of raspberry, wild berries, freshly roasted coffee and cinnamon unfold in the glass, followed by savoury hints of marinated olives, peppers and brine. The palate brings together generous berry fruit with hazelnut, macadamia, white chocolate and Dutch liquorice, creating a plush, layered wine with real presence. Ripe, integrated tannins provide a firm yet effortless framework, balancing the fruit and carrying the wine to a long finish. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes. As he says: "Why would I need anything else?" Deep dark red with a vibrant purple rim, the nose bursts with rich aromas of blackberry, blueberry, dark chocolate, mocha, and spice. The palate is plush and layered, delivering concentrated dark fruits, fine tannins, and a soft, lingering finish. Pepperjack Shiraz is a true Barossa classic.

Pepperjack Shiraz Cabernet pours a rich, dark red with a deep purple rim. The nose offers an enthralling medley of raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries, layered with dark plums and a touch of black pepper. Beneath the surface lie brooding notes of dark chocolate and a hint of roasted meats. The palate is rich and structured, bursting with bright fruit flavours. Silky, plush tannins provide length and finesse, leading to a soft, full-flavoured finish.
